Stephen King needs no introduction. It is virtually impossible for anyone who lives in this day and age to not have heard his name and associate it to the author’s groundbreaking style of writing. A quick search on the internet produces content not only related to the author’s latest novels and their film adaptations, but also details about his active participation in various public discussions of political nature as well as his views on other current events in the US. King has always been a prolific author releasing at least one big title every year. I will intentionally omit quoting an exact number due to my belief that by the time this volume is published, it will no longer be accurate. King’s novels alone are over sixty. In addition, he has published various novellas, short stories, screenplays, non-fiction pieces, and others, creating a whole eerie universe that has inspired millions of everyday readers who follow and read his writings religiously and many academics who study them in great detail. The fact that Stephen King’s works are taught at schools and universities, the copious body of publications regarding his prose, and the PhD theses devoted to him by people from all over the world provide evidence that the author has not only become a household name, but is also considered to be one of the major literary figures during the 20th and 21st century.
