The purpose of this book is to store our singular routes to knowledge: our searches and findings in the long process of teaching English in a variety of syllabi relying on philological curriculum design, and setting the frontier project of each colleague in the nearest future.
It is meant to be a kind of academic book: one that can be used in the lectures and colloquia, and one that can provoke further and greater acquisition of data that shall mark the individuality of the English Department at the SWU.
It is meant to be a demo version of the gross product of our effort where each of us has contributed with specific article, presenting each of the colleagues in their specific field.
It is also meant to serve as a watermark between the period of acquiring self-awareness in setting our tasks, and the fast times that are to follow in designing our courses to the best of the philological study: as education, as science, and as an art.
The coordinate system round which the conceptual frame is built relies on three groups of key terms:
1) texts and contexts;
2) anthropocentric values;
3) the contest of human - machine culture design.
